Questions

Before you book

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Therapy is clinical care: a licensed professional treats mental health conditions and works with your history and symptoms. Coaching is forward-focused and non-clinical — we work on goals, skills, decisions, and accountability. Coaching does not diagnose or treat anything, and many clients do both at once.

Can I do coaching while I am seeing a therapist?

Yes, and many people do. Coaching complements clinical care. If you would like, Caroline is happy for you to loop your therapist in on what you are working on.

How long until I see a difference?

Most people leave the first session with something usable. Meaningful change in patterns usually takes a few months of consistent work, which is why the 12-week container exists. Coaching cannot promise specific outcomes — your effort is the variable that matters most.

What happens in the free consult?

Thirty minutes on video. You share what is going on, Caroline explains how she works, and you both decide whether to continue. There is no obligation and no hard sell.

Is this confidential?

Placeholder: state the confidentiality policy from the coaching agreement, including the limited exceptions such as risk of harm.

What if I need to cancel?

Placeholder: cancellation and rescheduling policy, notice window, and any late-cancellation fee.

Not sure which option fits?

That is what the consult is for. Bring the situation, and you will leave with a recommendation either way.

Important: coaching is not therapy

Coaching supports you in setting goals, building skills, and moving forward. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, or mental health treatment, and Caroline does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If you are working with a therapist or prescriber, coaching can run alongside that care — it does not replace it.

If you are in crisis, thinking about harming yourself, or need immediate support, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call 911. You can also text HOME to 741741 to reach the Crisis Text Line.
